Can you guess my word of the year?
My word of the year is quite unique, at least I think so! I wanted a word that pulled me out of comfort zones, represented being brave, and embodied the concept to “be cautiously reckless” from the book, “The Collected Regrets of Clover.” So take a guess … what could be my word of the year?

It’s moxie!
I think moxie is one of those words that embodies what it means. But to be official, the Dictionary says that moxie encompasses a “courageous spirit and determination; perseverance: vigor; verve; pep; skill; know-how.” I’ve also encountered other phrases to describe moxie, such as a person with a unique resolve and courage about life, determination, spunk, and tenacity. They all sound good to me!
Inspiration & Focus
Always an admirer of Morgan Harper Nichols, one of her recent quotes inspires me and my new word for the year.
“Give yourself permission to imagine who you could be beyond the boxes you have always known.”
Beautifully said, right?
Having this focus word gives me a helpful reminder throughout the year. I may sometimes forget, but then I’m reminded again, and my desire to bring it to life is restrengthened.
If you have a word of the year, I’d love to know what it is and why you chose it.
Wishing you a 2025 filled with joy, health, peace, abundance, love, and of course, moxie!
P.S. My words from the prior 11 years: joy, fly, connected, appreciate, rise, forward, hope, clarity, yes, breathe, and thrive.
